The Governor of Bayelsa State, the Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson, held a meeting with the former Governor òf Kaduna State, Alhaji Ahmed Maikarfi, BOT members, the State Executive Committee of the Party led by Dr. Felix Hassan Hiat and other toP PDP leaders in Kaduna on Monday.
The Governor called on the political leaders across Nigeria to exhibit restraint in the use of power ahead of the 2019 general elections.
He advised all politicians to exhibit the requisite maturity to treat one another with respect and dignity irrespective of political differences.
The Governor is holding consultations with his northern counterparts and leaders on the issue of restructuring, resource control and allocation, true federalism and other topical issues of collective concern in the country.
The Chairman of the Kaduna PDP, Hassan, who spoke on behalf of the party said that the party would throw its weight behind anything that would strengthen the unity of the country. He commended the governor for holding consultative meetings which he described an effective tool of unification.
Maikarfi in his remarks, commended the governor for his sincerity and dedication to the unification of the PDP and indeed the country.
According to him, Dickson, as Chairman òf the PDP Reconciliation Committee made a lot of sacrifice to keep the party united and stronger.
