BAYELSA VIGILANTE BEGINS "OPERATION UPROOT CRIMINAL ELEMENTS"CONDEMNS ATTACK AND LOOTING OF BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENT.

The Bayelsa State Vigilante Service has condemned the attack and looting of business establishments by an alleged syndicate's group, hidding under the pretence of celebrating the iconic hero, late Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro.

In a statement by the state vigilante's Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Favour Waribo-Bekewari, on behalf of the Chairman, Evangelist Parkins Ogede; describes the action of the youths as cruel, barbaric and nonsensical.

The statement noted with dismay that, though, the late freedom fighter was celebrated in grand style, but regretted however that, the nonchalant behaviour of these unguided elements impacted negatively on the mood of the people.

According to Mr. Waribo-Bekewari, since no responsible government will allow such elements to derail it laid down rules, the service under Evangelist Parkins Ogede has began on what he called "Operation Uproot Criminal Elements" in various parts of the state.

This move, the statement explained is necessitated on the fact that, those working to discredit the Restoration government are ill-bent on doing so, with the evil motive of scoring cheap political points for their pay masters in Lagos and Abuja.

To broaden their dastardly acts, the statement noted that, available reports at its disposal indicated that the syndicates have already infiltrated the protesting workers, with a view of blackmailing the Governor to achieve their desired aim.

It warned youths not to be carried away by the antics of those working against the collective interest of the Ijaw people, the statement called on Bayelsans to be weary of those at the corridors of power whose stock in trade is to cause mayhem in the state.
