The Coordinator Niger Delta Self Determination Movement ( NDSDM) Bayelsa State Chapter, cum Secretary Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Action Committee Worldwide, Comr. Oki Tony has angrily lamented on the recent developments in our state own prestigious Niger Delta university, Wilberforce Island, Amassoma, Bayelsa State.

He described the ugly situation as a breach of Section 1 and 4 of Students Union Activities ( Control & Regulation Act) and section 40 of the constitution of  Federal Republic of Nigeria ( 1999 as amended) for  a Students Unionism which is the voice of the students to be banned on campus and also inviting students leader for a peaceful demonstration of their civil rights as students of that institution due to hike of their fees.

Comr. Tony Oki advised the said school Senate disciplinary committee to reiterate their steps and allow our students to focus on their Unionisms and academics pursuit for the interest and betterment of our Students and dear Ijaw Nation.

He angrily lamented, for any unpleasant result against the invited Students in the Senate meeting, will automatically attract a massive mobilization and protest of Niger Delta Self Determination Movement worldwide, the Ijaw Youth Council and other Pressure groups in Ijaw Nation against the school authority,
As we await outcome of the meeting, Mr Oki also advised the Students to be calm and law-abiding, as we anticipate a good conversation between the said Senate committee and the invited students.
