COMRADE SAMMY GEORGE CHAIRMAN IYC EASTERN ZONE HELD A CRITICALLY MEETING WITH THE MOTHER OF DRAGONS MADAM ANNKIO BRIGGS. 

At the weekend, Annkio Briggs our  reliable and integrity loaded leader the Amazon Queen of the Niger Delta, also known as the Mother of Dragons, met with the focused Chairman ..... Of the Eastern Zone of IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL (IYC). This meeting was an emergency meeting, they discussed , the state of our beloved Rivers State and Region Niger Delta.

The roles and responsibilities of the Rivers State Ijaws in Rivers State and to the present Democratically elected Government of Rivers State as Lead by Gov Nyesom Wike, and to all the other Ethnic Nationalities our brothers and sisters of Rivers State.

They discussed insecurities as possed by the brazen and increasing attacks of fulani herdsmen, Boko Haram, against Christians in the obvious aims to take over the lands of the areas of their targets.

Of critical and totally unacceptable plans to pass a bill to take over our Niger Delta region and states by taking over our water ways and banks.
That the resources in Rivers State and Niger Delta belongs to Rivers State and Niger Delta people, and that the continous sharing of it to states that contribute nothing while denying us the owners is no longer acceptable.

They discussed the obvious  plans to create insecurities across Rivers State, leading up to the 2019 general elections.
They agreed that forth coming elections are democratic processes and that power of democracy belongs to the people and not individuals.

Stating the obvious that the people of Rivers State Ijaws will decide our people who will represent us, a few people and strangers in the name of politics cannot sit in Abuja and pick their stooges of Rivers State origin to represent FG and any political party.

In conclusion they made it clear that Rivers State belongs to all the Ethnic Nationalities of Rivers State and the Rivers State Ijaws will work with their brothers and sisters and decide what is in the over all interest of the State and the singular interest of the Rivers State Ijaws.

They rose from the meeting agreeing that they will meet again in the nearest future to take a position after consulting with the larger Rivers State Ijaw youths and Elders spread across the 9 and half LGAs.

They are not saying that 100% agree with us but we will not be stopped by the people that don't agree with us to stop us from standing our ground for Rivers State and Niger Delta.
The positions to be taken will be to work in harmony an in support with the government of Rivers State and of the Niger Delta region.
