The Bayelsa state commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources Hon Prince Doodei Week and Hon Monday Obolo Edwind Bubo representing the fabulous characters of Southern-Ijaw Consistuency II, in the state house of assembly who the core party stakeholders in the constituency on Monday welcomed a grassroot mobilizer Hon Benard Abowei to Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Yenagoa.
Doodei described him as the key to “the renewed struggle of the party ,says the bold steps you took to return to the party where you truly belong, is a sacrifice not for yourself but for Bayelsans and the patriotic Ijaw man , hence history will be fair to you,” he said.
Hon Benard Abowei who was an aspirant of the Bayelsa state house of Assembly southern-Ijaw constituency 2, in 2015 political despensation under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), said he is leaving the APC “because of its plethora of failed promises and lack of credible leadership.”
Bernard added that,he was excited by the new efforts, with the stakeholders by which , sought to build the reborn PDP of our dear state on the core principles of promoting democratic values; internal democracy; accountability in the state, inclusion of national competitiveness and genuine commitment to restructuring and devolution of powers. he also applauded the stakeholders of the party for receiving him with open hands.
On his part, the coordinator of Young Restoration Leadership Movement of Silga constituency II, Hon Godlove Ereibi Akuodu on behalf the stakehold assured Hon Bernard Abowei for standing by him in whatever decision he took , Godlove said.
