The Contractors to the construction of the Ebedebiri Starch Factory (OSTERTRADE) has assured the Honourable Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Bayelsa State, Mr. Doodei Week, of completing the Project in the next four months.

Speaking on behalf of the firm,  the Legal Consultant, Barr. Ben Sweet, appreciated the state government for her hospitality and creating the needed conducive business environment, adding that they would equally reciprocate government kind gestures by ensuring timely completion and test-running  of the project  in the next four months.

The Project which covers an estimated area of 250 hectares of land is expected to produce 40 tons of starch per day, all aimed at encouraging food security and youth employment.

Speaking earlier, the "digital" Honourable Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. Doodei Week, reassured OSTERTRADE of government genuine commitment to the timely completion and commissioning of the project. Mr. Doodei Week noted that starch is majorly imported from other countries  and therefore, charged the contractors to put in their best with a view to completing the Project within  a record time.
