BAYELSA VOLUNTEER SECURITY OUTFITS HAS APPREHENEDED NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL FOR STOLEN TRICYCLE , CAUTION CRIMINAL TO STEEL CLEAR OF THE STATE.

In its avowed bid of eradicating criminal activities, the Bayelsa State Volunteer Security outfit has apprenhended  a 30 year old Steven Ogbodo a tricycle  (keke-nape) repairer from Nkano West Local Government Area of Enugu State in the early hours of today who is specialized in stealing tricycle and  criminal activities in his hideout in an uncompleted building behind Education Safety Corps office by Etegwe in Yenagoa LGA.

According to press release made availiable to a media Analysts Comr Elaye Igbian-Warifagha Yagila (The Tarakiri Boy ) Steven was said to have stolen his friend tricycle on the 7th of November,2017 and and committed anti-social activities within Yenagoa metropolis and zoom of to calabar for over eight months.

Chairman of the Security outfit , Hon Lucky Oyinkuro Asanakpo, while parading the suspect before newsmen, he also cautioned criminal elements to steer clear of the state or risk been apprehended for prosecution.adding that the criminal was successfully handed over to security agents Anti-cultism unit.

Asanakpo noted that, the suspect will soon be prosecuted, in view of the incriminating evidence before it, enjoined Bayelsans to furnish his office with useful information that will lead to the arrest of other fleeing criminals.

In another development, Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa has advised intending ad hoc staff from the National Youth Service Corps to support Independent National Electoral Commission at ensuring a credible, free and fair elections come 2019.

Dickson gave the advice in a statement issued to newsmen in Yenagoa on Tuesday by Mr Matthew Ngobua, Public Relations Officer of NYSC, Bayelsa.

The statement quoted Dickson as giving the advice at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, Kaiama, during the closing ceremony of the 2018 Batch B Corps members deployed to the State.

The governor, who was represented by Mr Luka Obiri, Permanent Secretary, Special Services in the governor’s office, urged the corps members to be actively involved during the elections.

He stressed that with their active involvement in the election, there would be ensured credible polls thereby producing rightful leader for the country.
