In Bayelsa, the Restoration government under His Excellency, Honourable Henry Seriake Dickson has taken monumental steps to bridge the food security gap and creation of employment for the youth in the state. The policy thrust with which the state drives its lofty agricultural programmes hinges on three thematic pillars, namely: capacity building, land and agriculture infrastructure development and linkages. Under the guidance of deliberate agricultural growth, development and advancement policies, the programmes and projects currently being undertaken by the Restoration Government through the Ministry of Agriculture and its agencies focus on Youth empowerment, employment generation, wealth creation, food security in Bayelsa State and actively contribute to national food security.
