The Governor of Bayelsa State His Excellency Henry Seriake Dickson has
consistently received condolence messages from well wishers across geographical, political and religious over the demise of his mother.
The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Hon Prince Doodei Week led the powerful delegation of Stakeholders Forum of Tarakir Kingdom in Silga to condoled with Governor Dickson over the passing of his mother Mrs Goldcoast Dickson who died on the 9th of August 2018, at the age of 72, at his maternal home Toru-Orua, Sagbama local Government Area,on 22nd August, 2018.

While commiserating with Gov Dickson , the spokesperson of the stakeholders forum of Tarakiri Kingdom, Hon Moses Taribi urged him to be consoled by the fact that his late mother led a good life having excelled in “commerce, discipline and godly devotion."He further said,“On behalf of the fabulous characters of Tarakiri Kingdom in Southern ijaw Local Government Area ,I convey our deepest sympathy over the passage to eternal glory of your dear mother, Mrs Goldcoast Dickson "Mama Gogo"
The pain of the death of a loved one is always difficult to bear. That of a mother becomes even more challenging, because of the unique position they occupy in our lives.
“Mothers are special beings whose invaluable roles in moulding lives, go a long way in determining our personal fortunes and the fate of our societies.
“No doubt, the demise of your dear mother would have created a vacuum in your heart, and in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.”
In his message to Gov Dickson over the death of his mother, the Ebenanaowei of Tarakiri Kingdom HRM King George A. Week said: “By her passage to eternal glory, your family has lost a dedicated mother; a dependable matriarch whose exemplary dexterity in shaping destinies reflects in the reputable lives of your family members.
“As you mourn, please be consoled by the fact that your mother’s legacies of integrity, hard work and philanthropy will continue to endure, having nurtured distinguished citizens like you and other well-respected family members.
“May Almighty God grant her soul eternal rest, and bless you with the fortitude to cope with the pain of this irreparable loss.”
Dickson who expressed his pain of loosing his mother. In his words; " She was only 72 and I wished she had stayed longer, but who are we to question God? For it is He who giveth and taketh at his own time.
My mother was not just a mother but an elder sister, friend, my biggest supporter, my biggest cheer leader who was always praying for me and encouraging me.There's no doubt that she has done her bit and God has called her but the loss is really difficult to bear."
Speaking further Dickson commended the stakeholders of Tarakiri Kingdom for coming to condoled with him he said .

Amen Sariki, Amanaowei of Anyama Ijaw, Chief Godbless Isengha, Deputy Amanaowei of Oweikorogha Community, Chief Ayibanua Taribi, Prof. Alison Martins, Hon. Moses Taribi, Mr. Temple Igunikeme,Rtd Capt. Sariki Daniel Gesikeme and among others all in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Led by Prince Doodei Week, Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources.
