WITHDRAWN WARTER MANAGEMENT BILL DICKSON TELL BUHARI

Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has approached the Federal Government to pull back the Waterway Management Bill, depicting it as unpleasant, provocative and an endeavor to centrally control the people’s source of livelihood. The Governor decided while talking in a live radio and TV interview in Yenagoa.

In a press explanation by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Francis Ottah Agbo, Governor Dickson denounced the bill focusing on that it is in reverse as "we are discussing the privilege to control our assets."

In his words: “We condemn that Executive Bill. We have spoken against it. It is obnoxious, offensive and an attempt to centrally control our source of livelihood. As Chairman of the South-South Governors Forum, I have called on the President to withdraw it. We will mobilize against it. The timing makes it more provocative.”

Reacting to issues on nature, Governor Dickson communicated grave worry over the corruption of the environment by the exercises of worldwide oil organizations.

He emphasized his call for pressing remediation of oil slick locales, focusing on that the wellbeing suggestions emerging from such contamination has achieved a disturbing level.

He additionally approached President Buhari to show presidential authority and bearing on the issue of rebuilding the nation.
