Today it is a Happy Resounding birthday wish to His Royal Majesty King George A. Week, who is 80years old! The Father to the Former Commissioner Special Duties Bayelsa Central Hon Enimotimi Kpou 2013 to 2012, and also the present Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources Bayelsa State Hon Prince Doodei Week.

His Royal Majesty was born on June 6th, 1938 in Anyama-Ijaw Community and he is second child of late Pa Week
His Royal Majesty started his primary education (standards 1- 4) in 1955 to 1956 at st pual primary school Anyama-ijaw later completed standard 5 and 6 at Odi in 1959.with his inquisitive to education he further his at Teacher Training College in Okodia Zarama in 1960 where he obtained Teacher's Certificate Grade 3 in 1961, in 1964 he went back to the above mentioned College to study wherein he was awarded the teacher's Grade (2 )Certificate in 1965 thereafter he briefly though at SISSO Secondary Oporama, Then 1973 he also further his education where he was also obtained Nigeria Certificate Examination (NCE) in 1975 , he didn't end there he proceeded for study applied linguistics 1979 to at Bayaro University Kano wherein he became of the best students in the department with Second Class (hons) B.Ed in 9th July, 1982. in which he was retained as a lecturer but because of the love he has for his people he rejected it rather he come back to impact the acquired knowledge to his people..
THE EDUCATIONAL IMPACT OF KING GEORGE A.WEEK.
In 1983, few months after he graduated from the University he discovered that ,the people of Tarakiri are backward in terms of education therefore he took the pain in his heart and and paid the honourable Commissioner for Education Rivers State late Hon G.S.B Alfred a courtesy visit to demand for Secondary School in the Clan and due to the fact that King G.A Week is a man of integrity the School was approved and was named Tarakiri Community Secondary School and was sighted at Anyama-Ijaw, which kick of on the 9th September, 1983 with a population of 86 students drawn from all the communities in Tarakiri Kingdom such as Anyama-Ijaw, Igebiri, Oweikoroghe , Obololi , Ozezebiri Community and he was also appointed as the Principal of the School in which he single handedly pilot the affairs of the School for four year ( 1983-1986).before he was posted to other school and ever since the school has been in existence which has produced Prominent men in the society among them are Medical Doctors, Nurses, Technocrats, Scientists, Bankers,Academicians , Security Agents etc.

ELECTIVE POSITIONS HELD AND DIPLOMATIC ROLES BY KING GEORGE A.WEEK..
George A.Week contested and won the councillorship election on opposed at the Local Government Election Rivers State, in 1963 to represent the good and great people of Tarakiri kingdom.
Then in the year 2004 he contested for the Position of Clan head of Tarakiri Kingdom alongside with three other contestants then he also won the Election and Emerged as The Number individual of Tarakiri Kingdom .
Since his early youth, King G.A has built the diplomatic relations and promoted the peace wherever he finds himself,also he has also been interested in cultural, social and sporting activities. For this reason, one of the sports teams in Tarakiri Community Secondary School Anyama-Ijaw named it "WEEK HOUSE ".
He has also presided the Coronations of Community leaders such as Paramount Rulers in the Kingdom.

King G.A Week is widely admired for his role in maintaining official diplomatic ties that has earned him the reputation for his terrific ambassadorial delegation that contributed the great deal to the development and progress of Tarakiri Kingdom.
King G.A Week is an acknowledged pioneer of cross-cultural exchange and his leadership for dialog among civilizations. G.A Week also oversees the work of numerous educational and sport organizations for many years.
Meanwhile the Royal Palace did not provide information and there will be no formal celebration of HRM birthday anniversary.
