BAYELSA STATE GOVERNMENT CONDOLES WITH THE PUNCH NEWSPAPER
DESCRIBES THE DEATH OF CHIEF WALE ABODERIN AS SUDDEN AND MOST UNFORTUNATE

The Bayelsa State Government received with shock the untimely death of the Chairman of the Punch Nigeria Limited, Chief Wale Aboderin, in Lagos on Thursday

Describing the death of the media icon as sudden and unfortunate, the government in a signed statement by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson,  prayed God to provide succour to members of the Aboderin family.

He said: "The late Aboderin was a philanthropist, a promoter of sports and above all a lover of humanity. He lived an exemplary and inspiring life worthy of emulation and would be remembered for his indelible contributions to the culture of efficiency and objectivity for which the PUNCH is highly reputed"

The Government commiserates with his immediate family, the PUNCH Nigeria Limited and the Nigerian Media.

May the Lord give his family the fortitude to bear this painful loss.

Signed
Daniel Iworiso-Markson
Honourable Commissioner for Information and Orientation
