NIGER DELTA SELF DETERMINATION MOVEMENT REITERATED THE NEEDS FOR REFINERY TO BE SITED IN THE OIL PRODUCING NIGER DELTA REGION.

PRESIDENT BUHARI TO BUILD A NEW REFINERY IN A BORDER TOWN OF KASTINA AND NIGER REPUBLIC.

NIGER DELTA SELF DETERMINATION MOVEMENT REITERATED THE NEEDS FOR REFINERY TO BE SITED IN THE OIL PRODUCING NIGER DELTA REGION.

Yesterday 24th July, 2018 President Buhari  inaugurated a committee to steer the above project, shortly signing of MoU by Ibe Kachikwu, minister of Petroleum State on behalf of Nigeria while Foumakaye Gado, Minister of Energy Niger Republic signed on behalf of his country.
The pipeline is to be constructed from Niger to Katsina state where the new refinery would be sited.

Mr Buhari said Nigeria and Niger have excellent relations for several decades, as neighbours sharing a long border with common cultural and historical ties.

Nigeria sees this cooperation on crude oil export from the Republic of Niger and construction of refinery facilities in Katsina State as a “win–win” for both nations.

The leadership of Niger Delta Self Determination Movement, Bayelsa State Chapter ably led by Comr. Oki Tony has once more send a strong message to the federal Government on the way and manner the Niger Delta region which is the highest oil producing region in country has been neglected and marginalized overtime, the said Refinery to be build in the North again should be redirected and sited in Niger Delta region for a show of fair treatment on the rich oil producing States in our country.

Comr. Eric Inilayokimie, Spokesman Niger Delta Self Determination Movement, Bayelsa State Chapter.
