Warri-Following the unending factional crisis rocking the oil rich Ugboegungun community in the Escravos axis of Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State,some armed youths invaded the community yesterday night shooting sporadically and seriously injuring the youth Chairman identified as Destiny Ododo.
The rampaging youths had earlier in the day attempted to invade the community but where stopped by the military operatives at Arunton who allegedly asked them to return back to Warri.
NDM News Xclusive reliably learnt that the heavily armed youths took another route,lay ambushed in the bush until dark enough to access the serene community and launch their attacks that saw many youths injured.
According to reports,the youth Chairman is currently lying in critical condition at Cyracus Hospital after taking first aid treatment in Escravos.
The Warri monarch,His Royal Majesty Ogiame Ikenwoli, the Olu of Warri had waded into the community fracas on Thursday warning a faction not to forcefully enter into the town pending when they would all meet again on Monday next wee for continuation of discussion to resolve the issues at stake, but the invading faction allegedly disrespected the palace directives and launched their attacks.
It was reliably gathered that several indigenes of the community are said to have fled into the bush for safety of their lives,the source added.
