President of the Ijaw Youth Council Mr Oweilaemi Pereotubo esq., the performing Hon Julius Pondi and entourage today visited #Novena University Ogume to appeal on behalf of the students that were rusticated after a student protest which was held 2nd May, 2018.
Pereotubo while addressing the school management holds the view that Niger Delta students should be thoroughly discipline if they bridge the law but it will not be kind enough to rusticate the Same students that we are trying very hard to build in the society.
He further said Niger Delta region being a special area that has unique human endowment, the students are to be treated as such.
The Law maker, hon. Julius Pondi who also spoke along with the IYC President used the medium to thank the school management for their understanding and also advice the students to work very hard stressing that Ijaw Youth in the Niger Delta must go forward and promise to make the platform necessary for the growth and development of the region
The Vice chancellor of NOVENA UNIVERSITY Prof. Christ Okafor express gratitude to the Leaders for their timely intervention. Your visit has proven that you have the Niger Delta students at heart. Meanwhile, he promised to do his best to reinstate the students in no distance time.
Also speaking at the seen was the president of the Amnesty students who also doubles as IYC students reps Egbema Clan comr Igbiriki Julius Timi thanks the students for their relentless efforts, persistent and resilience in making sure the students being rusticated should be reinstated, that has enable the Niger Delta Leaders IYC President, Julius PONDI to salvage us from an impending doom.
We will continue to be a good citizens and promise to make Ijaw Nation in the Niger Delta proud president asserted.
