OBOLO WINS PDP TICKET FOR BAYELSA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY -SOUTHERN-IJAW CONSTITUENCYII.

The Chairman house committee on works in the Bayelsa state House of Assembly, Hon Monday-Bubou Edwin Obolo has picked the Peoples Democratic Party ticket for the  State House of Assembly, Southern-Ijaw Constituency II in 2019 general elections.

In the party's primary conducted at the Southern-Ijaw Local Government Council headquarters, Oporoma on Friday 5th September, 2018 polled 23 votes to beat his rival, Hon Keili Newyear who zero vote.  meanwhile the total delegates were 25 while 23 delegates were accredited to vote.

 In his acceptance speech, Obolo declared the primary election as the best in the country and an example of a free, fair and credible election. He praised his co-contestant for joining the race, noting that he had absolutely nothing against him for contesting against him.

 The lawmaker said, “This is the true spirit of democracy and, as a person, I like peaceful contests. I salute and urge him to join hands with me to ensure that the PDP works as a family to win the main election and continue to deliver quality representation to our people. I will continue to be fair and equitable to all.”

SpeAking with News men , Hon Obolo commended His Excellency, Hon Henry Seriake Dickson, The Executive Governor of Bayelsa State and also  thank the leadership and elders, stakeholders of Southern-Ijaw Consistuency for  who deem it fit to be given the mandate to fly the party's ticket to contest in forthcoming general election.

He also applauded the delegates that t voted for him and as well appreciated the stakeholders and opinions leaders of the party for given another opportunity for him to serve his constituency again.
