GOVERNOR DICKSON IS A VISIONARY LEADER - BISHOP HYACINTH EGBEBO

Bishop Hyacinth Egbebo, Catholic Bishop of Bomadi Catholic Diocese, has applauded the visionary leadership of the Executive Governor of Bayelsa state, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson over the construction of the Bayelsa International Airport. The Bishop gave the commendation today when the immediate past commissioner for the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo conducted him round the facility.

Bishop Hyacinth Egbebo expressed gratitude to God Almighty, for giving Bayelsans a visionary leader like Hon. Dickson who thought it wise to invest in the infrastructural development of Bayelsa State. According to him, the Airport and other legacy projects, particularly the Sagbama/Ekeremor road, the Governor had embarked upon, will impact the people of Bayelsa state greatly in time to come.

"I am so grateful to God firstly and secondly to the executive Governor of Bayelsa State; Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson, has done us proud.

"He has brought this Airport so close to us. The dream of flying from other places, foreign countries, is being brought close to us. This is redemptive. It's making us to feel very proud and happy! And so, I say thank you to Gov. Dickson and his group of faithful loyal supporters, who had helped him to think about the development of Bayelsa State and the Ijaw Nation.

The cleric who thanked Gov. Dickson for prioritising the development of Bayelsa State, said the Governor has displayed that he has the development and progress of the people he governs at heart.

He appreciated the standard of job done at the the Airport and the equipment acquired for operations. Mostly especially, despite the magnitude of the 2018 flood that couldn't impede the airport location. Egbebo, called on youth and leaders in Bayelsa state to take a queue from Governor Dickson.

"This flood I thought would have overwhelmed this facility, but I have come here, we are standing on this place unimpeded. It's not threatening anything here. Gov. Dickson built this Airport knowing that the flood will come; it's standing on real solid ground unimpeded.

He acknowledged that, "the flood no matter how they come, the Bayelsa State International Airport Will not be affected".
