A political pressure group, known as "DYVAN" Doodei Youths Vanguard Network has thrown its weight behind the Senatorial ambition of the former Chairman Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) , Prof Seiyefa Brisibe for Bayelsa Central Senatorial district in 2019.
The director of the group, Elaye Igbian Warifagha Yagila made this known in a press release he jointly signed with the Kolokuma/Opokuma the group coordinator , Erebila Tarilayefa which was made available to newsmen on Thursday in Yenagoa.

Elaye in the press release acknowledged that a lot of politicians have shown interest in the 2019 bayelsa central senatorial election including the incumbent senator Sen. Paulker Emmanuel, Hon Douye Diri, among others.
Elaye noted that, Our decision to support Prof. Seiyefa Brisibe for Senate, Bayelsa central , is as a result of his remarkable achievements and transparent leadership, when he was the Chairman Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Office, Abuja, and as well as President, Association of Resident Doctors, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH).
“After a close monitoring of interested persons and their contributions to State in particular and the nation at large, "DYVAN group unanimously and without reservations endorsed Prof Seiyefa Brisibe for his glorious quest ,he said.
He said that the group’s decision to choose Prof Seiyefa among the galaxy of qualified senatorial aspirants was because of his intellectual capability, unparalleled commitment and his vast knowledge in the political circle.adding that the group’s decision to choose Prof Seiyefa among the galaxy of qualified senatorial aspirants was because of his intellectual capability, unparalleled commitment and his vast knowledge in the political circle.
As a Medical Practitioner, a University Teacher, Researcher, Development Expert, Health Economist, a grassroots mobilizer and a Professor of Family Medicin Prof Seiyefa Brisibe performance has been deemed outstanding and he proved himself as one of the brightest parliamentarians that Bayelsa State has ever produced, with top notch legislative bills, motions and constituency projects to his name,” he explained.
Elaye further said that, Prof Seiyefa input as the Chairman Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) during the administration of former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan an was a testimony saying that, Prof Seiyefa is a humble and focused leader “whose antecedents showed him to be a highly dedicated person capable of addressing the current developmental challenges confronting the district.
He described Prof Seiyefa as a detribalised Nigerian who commands goodwill both nationally and internationally.
“We hereby deploy all resources to embark on relentless mobilisation to support the election of Prof Seiyefa Brisibe It is our prayer and appeal to Bayelsa Central Senatorial District to lend support to this noble cause,” he said
