A political group operating under the aeis of Doodei Youth Vanguard Network,Bayelsa State (DYVAN) has felicitated with the Caretaker Chairman of Southern-Ijaw Local Government Council, Chief Hon Kia Ebidoughebofa Nigeria on his new appointment as Commissioner for Science and Technology Bayelsa State.
Comr Elaye Igbian-Warifagha Yagila who is the Coordinator of youth Network in a statement described the appointment as well deserved and a recognition of the professional competence and work disposition of Chief Kia as an accomplished administrator.
He said the group are not surprised at the rising profile of the council boss considering his pedigree as a public administrator, who has one time been a member of the state executive council,Commissioner for special duty Bayelsa central before he was appointed as caretaker chairman of the council. Thus his performance has attracted both local and international recognition among them is the recent was the 2018 edition of Nigerian Local Government Chairmen Merit Award (LOGMA) in Abuja on Thursday, September 2018 in which he eemerged as one of the best performing local government Chairmen in Nigeria.

However he expressed confidence in the ability of Chief Hon Kia Ebidoughebofa Nigeria to perform in his new role as a member of the Bayelsa State Executives Council , having work as the sole administrator in largest local government Council in Nigeria.
Elaye also expressed gratitude to the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency Hon Henry Seriake Dickson for the confidence reposed in him, noting that, the decision to appoint chief Kia as commissioner in the state was well-informed and one that would serve its purpose, especially the development of the science and technology sector of state in he said.
