APC CHIEFFTAIN,SUPPORTERS DEFECT TO PDP IN BAYELSA STATE -SAYS PLANS ARE UNDERWAY TO MOBILIZE THE ELECTORATES AGAINST APC IN FORTHCOMING 2019 POLLS - BY ELAYE IGBIAN-WARIFAGHA YAGILA



Temple disclosed that most of his supporters are  of  the supporters of the candidate of house of representative for Southern-Ijaw federal Constituency and the candidate of house of Assembly, Silga Constituency II, of  All Progressive Congress.He described APC as a threat to democracy given the irregularities trailing primary elections conducted by the party.







Barely 33days and 22 hours to the 2019 general election, An All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain and a former aspirant of the Bayelsa state house of Assembly, Southern-Ijaw Consistuency II, Hon Temple Ogili has dumped the party along with his teeming supporters for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP over the weekend.

Temple, who announced their defection in state capital at the residents of the leading candidate and standard bearer of the party for Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Silga Constituency II, Hon Monday Bubou Edwin Obolo , stated that the APC lacks internal democracy and is a party formed on deceit. He stressed that the non conduct of proper congresses as well as the recent primary elections in the state informed their decision to defect to the PDP.

“APC is no longer a party that Nigerians should support in 2019 election because of the impunity and lack of justice to its supporters especially in the recent primary election in the state where it failed to conduct the exercise instead only stooges were favoured,” he said.

The defecting APC chieftain maintained that plans have reached advanced stage to mobilise the electorates against the All Progressive  Congress party  to deliver all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2019 polls due to the lack of justice.adding that PDP is where he was thought politics and his happy that, he is back to his political home.

Receiving the decampee on behalf the PDP state chairman, the Assistant Secretary of the party Hon Fuoebi Bokuromu expressed delight, describing the defection  of the former aspirant of bayelsa state house of assembly of the All Progressive Congress (APC) together with some stalwarts of the party in the state was a sign of victory for PDP in 2019 general elections.

“I am impressed with the defection of the APC supporters to PDP Today. However, we are still expecting more defectors following the injustice noticeable in recent APC primary elections across the country,” Fouebi said.

Immediately PDP membership card to the decampee by Hon Kuromotimi Abassa who is the PDP Chairman Silga ward II, The lawmaker representing Southern-Ijaw constituency II in the state of house of Assembly and the standard bearer of the party , Hon Monday-Bubou Edwin Obolo assured him and his supporters of the party’s commitment to ensuring they would rank among equals with old members and  also equal recognition, benefits with older members of the party. He noted
