2019 ELECTION: APC CHIEFTAINS ,GRASSROOTS MOBILIZER, IN SOUTHERN-IJAW CONSTITUENCY II DEFECT TO PDP,SAYS PARTY LACKS INTERNAL DEMOCRACY- BY TARAKIRI NEWS REPORTERS


He also noted that, APC has failed to deliver on its promises to Nigerians. It is clear, beyond any reasonable doubt that since the inception of the APC-led administration, the nation has continued to grapple with loads of socio-economic and political problems.






An All Progressives Congress, (APC) chieftain in Southern-Ijaw Consistuency II Bayelsa state , Barr. G.S.B Okele  has dumped the party alongside with a grassroot mobilizer Mr. Osiri Cenus for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Barr. Okele who announced their defection in Yenagoa stated that the APC lacks internal democracy and is a party formed on deceit.He described their decision to embrace PDP as wise, especially as it was crystal clear that APC, as ruling party, had in the last three years misled Nigerians.


Presenting the decampees to the lawmaker representing Southern-Ijaw constituency II, in the state house of Assembly , Hon Monday- Bubou Edwin Obolo and the Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources,  Hon Prince Doodei  Week , by the ward chairman, Hon Roger Ongolo  assured them of the party’s commitment to ensuring they would rank among equal with old members and assured them of equal recognition, benefits with older members of the party

Receiving the decampees  in Yenagoa , The Agric Commmissioner Hon Prince Doodei Week ,commended them for leaving APC for PDP , He also expressed delight, describing their defection as timely to help the party unseat the ruling APC during the 2019 election.

“It is worrisome that today there is so much division in the country unlike before, while bloodletting and spates of killings of innocent Nigerians and other acts of violent crimes have become the order of the day, mainly due to the cluelessness and leadership failure of the APC-led federal government,” he said.
