- A CLARION CALL TO TAKE BAYELSA STATE TO A GREATER HEIGHT
Honourable Doodei Agbabou Week was a Deputy Director in the NDDC when he was called to be like David of Isreal to take up the job of tending and managing the natural resources of our state by His a Excellency Henry Seriake Dickson.
He obeyed this call by leaving the highly rated and esteemed Niger Delta Development Commission job and like his ancient brother, the shepherd boy, tendering the Natural Resources in the Forest and Marine environment to serve his people till the clarion call by his people to take over as the Governor from the highly rated Governor of Bayelsa State, Henry Seriake Dickson. At first, he ignored such calls and decided to continue his work as a shepherd to the Natural resources of the State which was entrusted to him to nurture and develop the state.
But when the pressure to contest for the number position became unbearable everywhere he went, he got encouraged to go into the race, as he have all the qualities that could make him a good Governor that would build on the solid foundation laid by the one fondly called ‘the Ofuruma Pepper, countryman Governor ‘ by his admirers.
In his usual humble and respectful nature and manner, he did not rush to pick up the nomination form, but having encouraged by all sections of the people of the state and more importantly, having gotten the assurances from his maker ( God ) , the Alpha and Omega who made the ancient Shepherd boy ‘David’ to be King of Israel, ‘he is settled and bent up to this feat’ of becoming the next Governor of our great State (Bayelsa State) the Glory of all lands, and the Jerusalem of the Izon Nation.
Fear not, the lion of the tribe of the Ijaw nation is coming. Be prepared to join him to realize this divine call to serve his people for progress, advancement in all sectors of the economy.
